This demo is intended to showcase a reservoir characterization via k-means clustering. The original dlis file was loaded to Spotfire via Python, in order to do the clustering using 3 different rocks: sandstone, limestone and shale.

Characterization

This demo is intended to showcase geomechanical data. The dlis file was loaded to Spotfire via Python and it contained FMI data store. FMI stands for Fullbore Formation Microimager and it’s an image log intended to study faults and fractures of the well, both natural and induced.

Geomechanics

This demo is intended to showcase powerful mapping functions and map layers in Spotfire. Widely used in geoscience, the mapping functions for curve levels and heat map are run in R. The satellite layer is brought via a TWS layer.

Mapping Functions

This demo is intended to showcase petrophysical and empirical models to predict a well log curve. The original dlis file was loaded to Spotfire via Python, and some important curves were missing, hence the need to use reliable models for prediction.

This demo is intended to showcase a 2D Seismic with simple amplitude calculations and well log tying. While there are many ways to load seismic data to Spotfire, on this cases, the segy and dlis files were loaded to Spotfire via Python.

This demo is intended to showcase the depletion profile of offshore wells. The machine learning method used to study the depletion was Hierarchical Clustering and represented in a form of dendrogram.

While the data follows all the drilling path all the way down to the well, this demo is intended to showcase a simulated drilling cost during a certain period.
